Arch Linux 2010.05 64-bit is now an available option in the SliceManager when building a new slice as well as rebuilding an existing one.
As always, please note that any existing data on the slice will be erased if you choose to rebuild a slice using this image.
On Tuesday, June 15th, we will be removing the previous Arch Linux image, 2009.02, as an available option. If you wish to continue utilizing this image, you can take a backup of an existing slice in the SliceManager .

It's still fashionable in certain Linux circles these days to pick a leaner distro in order to minimize resource utilization. Advocates of Arch Linux and Gentoo like to point out that Ubuntu is a bit heavy on RAM usage. As a Linux old timer, I'm sympathetic to the yearnings for a leaner, meaner past. Even Linus Torvalds admits that Linux is getting a bit bloated these days.

It's becoming rather annoying, because i'm trying to move completely over to Ubuntu on my lappy (which is a big move, considering how well my Arch Linux system is functioning on it), but I always keep falling into this little trap.
My Warty installation media always seems to do the trick. A (relatively) quick update sets me straight.
