Internet is to completely rebuild every part of it from scratch. That's just not how technological advances occur. People build on the stuff that is already there . The team behind Go probably want to do this kind of total Internet rebuild, and replace HTTP with SPDY while they're at it, but not even Google has enough Imperial stormtroopers to pull off that kind of coup.

What we have above is a minimal SPDY server implemented with the help of the node-spdy module , which responds to all inbound requests by writing out a "Hello World!" string, followed by script tag. Except, we are also doing something clever: we push the main.js file to the client, the body of which triggers a JavaScript alert.

As a result, by the time the browser discovers the script tag in the HTML response the main.js file is already in cache, and no extra network …
